Accountability of the Presidency of the Republic was a resounding success in RTVC

Radio Television Nacional de Colombia (RTVC) is pleased to inform that the accountability of the Colombian Presidency for the period 2008 - 2009, directed by President Álvaro Uribe Vélez and with the participation of the ministers, took place between august 15 and 16 of this years in our headquarters, has been the most mediatic and biggest event that has been planned and that has taken place in RTVC. Its efficient development is a clear testimony of the capacity and quality that characterizes RTVC, as a company from the Colombian State.

As it was planned, goals, new deals, were exposed by the Vicepresident, the Ministers and High Counselors, who showed their most important points in their gestion, following the moderation that César Mauricio Velásquez held. He is the presidency´s press secretary. Colombian citizens had the opportunity to participate actively using telephone lines and email addresses disposed for this activity.

"This activity wants to show to Colombian inhabitants the necessary information in order to confirm, evaluate and control all public policies!, afirmed Claudia Jiménez, high presidency counselor. The event responded to this premise, because the commitment from the National Government to execute and give accountability on each one of its acts, was fully complied on this seventh edition in which 21 public servants gave reports on their activities on an individual exposition of 20 minutes and had 40 minutes for questions.

It was a two day activity in which colombian citizens were able to know which has been Colombia´s Government real management and for RTVC and big goal to be the official place where this activity was held. RTVC´s planned structure is to be mentioned, because team work was emphasized for this work. Gabriel Gómez has the leader of this team which comprised: Emission in charge of engineer Miguel Rodríguez, Logistics by Alexandra Faura, Informatics by Irlene Herrera, Transmission by Lennart Rodríguez and Press by Jorge Luis Utría. They all got an excellent result working with other officials from Colombia´s Presidency in order to develop this event in RTVC.

“This accountability report was finished with discipline and organization by the ministers who were able to give their balances for 2008 - 2009 and Colombian Citizens were able to confirm that there is a transparent government and that citizenship is giving its support to get its job well done" says the high counselor Jiménez in an interview given to Café y Noticias, a daily radio show aired on Radio Nacional de Colombia.

RTVC will continue o strengthen its labor, devoted to offer radio and tv responsible for having a priority in cultural contents and which consolidate as Colombia´s most recognized efficient entity.
