Last February 1st, was a very special day for the Colombian National Public Radio (Radio Nacional de Colombia, RNC) as it celebrated its 70th anniversary. On that day , a new brand transmitter mixers was operated for the first time. Unplugged concerts with colombian composer/singer Andrés Cepeda as well as appearances of other special guests were aired among which a new musical alternative, the Bomba Stereo band.
In its very early years, RNC broadcast conferences, plays, speeches, educational talks ant the like. Programmes were widely spread that brought increasing audience to culture, science, music as well as to awareness of the great events of the day.
To-day the Colombian National Public Radio programmes reflects a whole range of local and world accents, traditions and sounds. At the same time, RNC offers pleasant air spaces that attract audience to local and global news.
Live presentations
The Colombian National Public Radio, in its 28 station network, broadcast live Bomba Stereo, one of the most important and internationally renowned band of Colombian new music. Audience were relished with the sound of the band’s key voice Li Saumeth, while five radio listeners were given the chance of being part of the unplugged presentation.

In the evening, colombian composer/singer Andrés Cepeda made a special presentation for special guests and for RNC’s listeners at large at the Colombian National Public Radio Television (RTVC) head offices in Bogota. Here are some pics of the event:
